DataGrip is a multi-engine database environment released by JetBrains, supporting MySQL and PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, Sybase, DB2. All of the queries DataGrip runs during data updates can later be found. The developers say that all the DataGrip 2021.1 updates are aimed at making the operations faster and more convenient for developers. DataGrip provides a smart data editor with the ability to add, delete, and change data. You can also now use ambiguous column names when using the CTE temporary result set. Other more minor improvements in the data editor include easier sorting because the sorting isn't 'stacked' by default the ability to use predefined sorting for tables and an option to always transpose the result if it contains a single row. There are also enhancements in sorting, a new toolbar in the data editor and easy copy-paste of data sources. You need to create and open a project from the Welcome Screen. Other improvements include the introduction of the ORDER BY field in the data editor to make it possible to include this in your SQL statements. For example, if you have two SELECT statements in the query, you will see two tabs in the tool window. Each statement appears in a separate tab in the Services tool window. Navigation in the UI has also been improved to be more streamlined and straightforward. Usually, when you run a query, you receive results in a table format. The second improvement in this release is the ability to edit data in MongoDB via the UI. Azure's use of this caused problems for DataGrip users in earlier releases as there wasn't a way to provide the second part of the authentication, so the addition is an important improvement. multifactor authentication, which involves users having to provide an additional form of identification such as a code entered on their cellphone or a fingerprint scan. The first improvement to the new release is support for Azure MFA. This is the first of DataGrip's regular updates in 2021, hence the version number of 2021.1.ĭataGrip is a combination of an intelligent SQL editor and collection of database tools packed together and running on top of the IntelliJ platform.DataGrip supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Azure, DB2 and Hive among its list of 21 supported formats.
